How does team messaging work in Axial Shift?
Axial's messaging lets managers reach the right people without group texts. You get channels by store, role or job, announcement-only channels, multi-store broadcasts, and scheduled or recurring posts. You control who can post and who can create channels, and every message stays inside the platform.
What managers can send
- Messages to channels by store, role or job, for example Managers, FOH and BOH channels for each store.
- Announcement-only channels, where managers post and staff read.
- Broadcasts to many stores at once, without logging into each store.
- Scheduled or recurring posts, such as weekly operations notes.
Can we attach files?
Yes. You can attach any type of file to a message in a channel, such as a PDF, a spreadsheet, a planogram or a rollout document. Images display right in the conversation.
Can we confirm people read a policy change?
Yes. Add an acknowledgment button to a message, and Axial records everyone who pressed it. Restaurant groups use this as a read receipt when they push policy changes out on broadcast channels.
Can broadcasts go to just one store?
Yes. A broadcast reaches only the people in the channel it's posted in, and each channel can be set to a single store. A common setup is a broadcast channel for each store plus one for the whole company. Managers post in their own store's channel, and only leadership posts company-wide.
Controls
- Limit who can post in a channel.
- Only managers and above-store users can create channels.
- Above-store users can export messages for HR or legal review.
Is it texting?
No. Messaging is two-way inside the Axial app rather than over SMS, so conversations stay off personal phone numbers and inside a system you control.
