How do roles and permissions work in Axial Shift?
Short answer
Axial Shift has a role manager that controls access to almost every page and action. Roles can be assigned automatically from a person's job or given to a specific person, and each user sees only the stores they're assigned to.
Common setups
- Managers build schedules, and GMs publish them.
- Pay rates and admin pages are hidden from roles that don't need them.
- Regional leaders see all their stores, with reports rolled up by region.
- A shift-leader role can view and print the daily roster and nothing else.
- Only managers and above-store users can create messaging channels.
Who can assign roles?
Assigning roles is itself a permission, so you decide who can grant access.
What gets audited?
Axial logs:
- time punch edits
- tip pool changes
- changes to employee jobs and pay rates
- every schedule change, with who made it and when
Can stores belong to more than one group?
Yes. A store can sit in several regions or groups at once, for example a district and a state, and reports roll up each way.
