Goals & KPIs
How do sales contests work in Axial Shift?
Short answer
Contests rank employees or stores on the behaviors you care about, from item sales and check average to sales per labor hour, using live POS data. You can run one contest across every store, rank by shift or role, and show results on a back-of-house screen.
What contests can measure
- Item counts, or items per labor hour
- Share of sales or items, such as a featured item or a category
- Alcohol share of sales
- Check average
- Sales per labor hour
- Guest review ratings, when your review platform is connected
How results are ranked
- Across stores, within a store, by AM or PM shift, or by role, for example servers only.
- Clone a contest to every store in a few clicks, and view the same KPI by store, region or employee.
- Optionally show only results at or above average, so the bottom of the board isn't on display.
Where people see them
Results appear in the app and on a back-of-house display link for a TV or tablet, so the team can follow along without phones on the floor.
Who runs them
Permissions decide who can create and manage contests. Regional leaders can set targets centrally, and GMs can run their own.
