Can managers add notes and context to the numbers in Axial Shift?

Short answer

Yes. Managers record the shift in the Log Book, with forms that pull in live sales, labor, and comp and void data so they can explain a variance next to the number, and they add context to the forecast with blackout dates, change reasons and locks.

The Log Book

  • Managers record the shift on mobile or web using forms you design: text, yes/no, checklists, photos and files, signatures, and team member pickers.
  • Forms can pull in live sales, labor, and comp and void data, so managers explain a variance right next to the number.
  • Required sections make sure the important questions get answered.
  • Entries are tied to the business date, so a note written after midnight still counts toward the right day.

Who sees it

  • Entries post to Log Book channels and to a searchable, exportable Log Book dashboard.
  • A nightly Log Book email goes to the stores, regions and roles you choose.

Context for the forecast

  • Blackout dates take closures and one-off days out of forecast training.
  • Forecast changes capture a reason, who made the change, and when.
  • Locked forecasts keep managers' adjustments from being overwritten.
