Axial Commerce Changes its Brand to Axial Shift to Align with its Mission and Purpose
April 11, 2022 – Axial Shift, a SaaS provider of a first-of-its-kind restaurant operations and sales performance platform that was formerly known as Axial Commerce, today announces a transition in company name and brand aesthetic to more closely align with its inception story, purpose, and technology offering. The company encourages its clients to make an intentional change in focus to serve the needs of frontline managers and staff. The Axial Shift platform provides teams with a purpose-driven work experience by delivering transparency into their performance and potential sales opportunities, as well as tools to control their outcomes and improve their own and their store’s performance.
Axial Shift is the first platform to prioritize the continual development of frontline teams by bridging the gap between real-time staff performance, sales, and employee experience. Using data translated from the POS, the Axial Shift platform helps teams easily see the impact they’re making on the business and how to take better control.
Original founder and CEO Ellis Winstanley is himself a long-time restaurateur who understands firsthand the critical purpose of the hourly workforce and, more importantly, the challenges front-line teams face every day. Ellis watched as managers struggled to connect the activity on the floor with what was being reported in the back office. Knowing that his own management time was being spent doing back office admin work, teams were not consistently receiving constructive feedback, and development opportunities were getting left on the floor drove his decision to create a platform to help his team.
Having used many other restaurant-based technologies, however, Winstanley was often frustrated by the complexity of those platforms and the time it took to get them up, running, and delivering value to the team. He committed to creating a better solution.
